Philip Turnbull

Philip originally trained as a therapeutic optometrist, completing a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours at the University of Auckland. After spending a couple of years working at a busy private practice in Christchurch, he returned to Auckland to begin a Doctor of Philosphy in Optometry. His research is looking into the pharmacological control of childhood myopia.

Philip is interested in technology, particularly the possible applications of emerging technologies and would be interested in discussing ideas with potential capital seekers. He also has investment interests in emerging world markets, specificially how technology can assist and accelerate the transition into the first world, with parallel benefits of scale for developed countries.
